Job summary

AP Sensing Asia Pte Ltd is seeking a hands-on engineer to lead field deployment, commissioning, and site acceptance tests for monitoring solutions in Singapore and across the Asia Pacific region.

You will also prepare project documentation, analyze data, generate reports and conduct trainings while maintaining strong communication with customers throughout project execution.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree or equivalent in engineering/computer science or automation technology.
• 3+ years international experience preferred.
• Knowledge of fiber optics (FO cables, fiber types, splicing, OTDR, laser) preferred.
• Good communication skills in English and Mandarin; travel flexibility regionally.
• Solid MS Office experience and basic EDP systems (Windows Server, MS SQL, Modbus, IEC61850).

About the role

As a hands-on engineer you will execute the field deployment, commissioning, site acceptance test & trouble shooting process of monitoring solutions based on sensing instruments and other off-the-shelf standard industrial components. You will prepare project related documentation, analyze field data, generate reports, conduct trainings and support customers in Singapore and Asia Pacific. You will keep communication with customers during the project execution phase.

About you

• B.S. degree in electrical-, mechanical-, or optical-engineering, computer science, automation technology, or similar track record

• More than 3 years of international experience preferred

• Good knowledge about fiber optics (FO cables, fiber types, splicing, fiber testing OTDR, laser) preferred

• Engaged, creative, and self-reliant with a solution-oriented approach

• Good communicator with written and spoken skills in English and Mandarin. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.

• Flexible with regards to travel in the region

• Solid MS Office experience

• Solid EDP background (e.g. Windows Server, MS SQL, Modbus, IEC61850)
