Job summary

AFL SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a Technical Program Engineer in Singapore to design and support fiber-optic connectivity for DC projects.

You will serve as the technical face to customers, work with installation partners and internal teams, and prepare BOMs, technical docs and training materials. The role requires a Bachelor’s or Diploma in a related technical field and at least 3 years’ fiber-optic and data center experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology or a related technical discipline.
At least 3 years of experience in fiber-optic connectivity, data center infrastructure, telecommunications engineering or related field.
Conversant in both English & Mandarin (spoken and written).
Practical knowledge of optical fiber cables, fiber management solutions and common data center fiber-management practices.
Understanding of LC, MPO/MTP connectors and cable assemblies such as patch cords and pigtails.
Working knowledge of fiber installation practices and testing (OTDR, power meter, light source, VFL).
Ability to read data center layouts, BOMs and product specs.

Responsibilities

Understand building drawings/layouts and translate them into end-to-end fiber connectivity solutions.
Prepare and maintain solution documentation, BOMs, and installation guides.
Coordinate with design, product management and supply chain for project requirements and timelines.
Deliver technical training to customers and partners on fiber handling and splicing.
Support proposals, demonstrations and technical inquiries for Commercial/Sales teams.
