Job summary

AP Sensing Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. seeks a hands-on engineer to deploy, commission, and support monitoring solutions in Singapore and across Asia-Pacific. You will lead field deployments, perform site acceptance testing, and troubleshoot installations.

You will also prepare documentation, analyze field data, generate reports, and train customers. Fluency in English and Mandarin is required, with willingness to travel regionally. Strong MS Office and fiber optics knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Optical engineering, computer science, automation technology, or similar.
• 3+ years of international experience.
• Good knowledge of fiber optics (FO cables, fiber types, splicing, OTDR, laser).
• Engaged, creative, and self-reliant with a solution-oriented approach.
• Strong communication skills – English and Mandarin – and teamwork.
• Willingness to travel within the region for customer support.
• Solid MS Office experience; CAD tools are advantageous.
• Solid EDP background (Windows Server, MS SQL, Modbus, IEC61850).

Responsibilities

Job description

Your Responsibilities

As a hands-on engineer you will execute the field deployment, commissioning, site acceptance test & troubleshooting process of our monitoring solutions based on our sensing instruments and other off-the-shelf standard industrial components. In addition you will prepare project related documentation, analyze field data, generatereports, conduct trainings and support our customers in Singapore and AsiaPacific. Part of the responsibility is to keep communication with customers during the project execution phase.

You can play a key role in amotivated team in a position with a broad and interesting scope.

Your Profile

• You have an B.S. degree in electrical-, mechanical-, or optical-engineering, computer science, automation technology, or a similar track record.

• >3 years of (international) experience.

• A good knowledge about fiber optics (FO cables, fiber types, splicing, fiber testing OTDR, laser) is appreciated.

• You are engaged, creative, andself-reliant, with a solution-oriented approach. Ideally you have collected your first job experiences that reflect this.

• You are a good communicator – a cooperative and dependable team player – with written and spoken skills in English and Mandarin

• You are flexible with regards to travel in the region

in order to provide the best possible support for our customers.

• Solid MS Office experience is a must -experience in optical test and measurement, CAD tools are advantageous

• You have also a solid EDP background. (e.g. Windows Server, MS SQL, Modbus, IEC61850).
