Job summary

SMRT Corporation Ltd seeks a skilled maintenance supervisor to lead a technical team in preventive and corrective maintenance of power systems. The role focuses on planning, safety, and compliance with procedures, ensuring up-to-date drawings and records.

The candidate will coordinate shifts, advise on engineering analyses, and support major repairs and upgrades while maintaining strict QP/WI compliance.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• At least 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in maintenance and trouble shooting of electrical equipment.
• Able to do shift work.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of technical officers to carry out and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance on SMRT power systems.
• Plan and execute maintenance schedule and staff rosters in consultation with EMM.
• Provide technical advice and ensure drawings, manuals and records are kept current.
• Assist EMM in engineering and safety analyses, investigations and tests.
• Carry out and assist supervision of major maintenance, upgrades, and repairs; prepare completion reports.
• Obtain COA and operate electrical equipment.
• Comply with Safety Procedures.
• Attend Permit-to-work for internal and external parties.
• Perform rotating shift duties.
• Perform driving duty.
• Conduct home-based safety talks and compile monthly OT reports.
• Ensure compliance with Quality objectives in daily activities.
• Undertake other tasks incidental to assigned work.

Job Purpose

To Operate, Maintain and Repair all power system equipment installed in SMRT Thomson-East Coast Line (STEL) in compliance with our Quality objective as stated in our Quality Procedures (QP) / Work Instructions (WI) / Task lists.

Responsibilities

1. To lead a team of technical officers to carry out and/or supervise for preventive and corrective maintenance works on SMRT power system in compliance with relevant procedures and safety requirement.
2. To plan and execute maintenance schedule and staff duty rosters in consultation with EMM in most effective and efficient manner.
3. To provide technical advice, information and instructions to other staff and ensure all drawings, diagrams, manuals and records are kept current and update.
4. To assist EMM in conducting engineering and safety analysis, investigations, and test.
5. Carry out and/or assist EMM supervision of corrective maintenance, upgrading, modification work and major repair work as assigned by EMM/SM. Prepare and submit reports on completion of work.
6. To obtain COA and performing operation of electrical equipment.
7. To comply and exercise safety at all times in accordance to Safety Procedures.
8. To attend Permit-to-work for all internal and external work parties.
9. To perform rotating shift duties.
10. To perform driving duty.
11. To conduct home-based safety talk and compile monthly O/T report.
12. To ensure compliance with our Quality objective as stated in our QP/WIs/Tasklists in daily activities.
13. To undertake any other tasks or functions that are incidental or ancillary to the performance of assigned work.
