Job summary

SP Group in Singapore is seeking a seasoned Electrical Engineer to lead a team responsible for network equipment and cable maintenance, low voltage systems, and fault repairs. You will plan predictive and preventive maintenance for switchgear, transformers, and cables up to 22kV, while managing budgets and retrofit programs.

You will formulate standard procedures, participate in study teams, and address customer feedback.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering recognised by Professional Engineers Board Singapore.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• A team player with a positive working attitude and the ability to handle tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of officers in carrying out network equipment/cable maintenance works, low voltage network maintenance, condition monitoring works and equipment/cable fault repairs
• Plan, implement and manage comprehensive predictive and preventive maintenance programmes for switchgear, transformers, cables (up to 22kV) and their auxiliaries, retrofitting programmes in accordance to budget provisions and schedules
• Formulate and review work procedures and practices
• Lead and participate in any study team, task force or committee
• Attend to customers' issues and feedback
• Perform high voltage switching, load transfers and safe isolation of high voltage equipment/cable, site management and supervise contractors and staff
• Perform standby duty for network incidents during and after-office hours and for major events eg NDP, NDR, F1
• Prepare contingency plans for network incidents
• Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned
