Job summary

Section seeks a Technical Delivery Lead in Singapore to own engineering delivery for multiple projects. You will turn approved scope into actionable technical plans, lead teams through execution and deliver reliable solutions within scope, effort and quality targets.

You will stay hands-on where it matters most, resolve difficult problems, review critical implementations and guide decisions while ensuring profitability through predictable delivery and minimal rework.

Qualifications

• At least seven years of relevant software-engineering experience, including hands-on technical leadership and delivery of production systems.
• Evidence of leading a team from estimation and planning through release and operational handover, with clear personal accountability.
• Experience tracking engineering effort, forecasting remaining work and recovering delivery when scope or priorities change.
• Strong engineering judgement and the ability to explain trade-offs in terms of customer impact, effort, risk, quality and cost.
• Confidence challenging unrealistic commitments and handling difficult scope or delivery conversations with project managers and clients.
• Strong diagnostic ability across application, integration and production issues, including performance, stability and security.
• Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain risks and options to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience leading geographically distributed teams across Singapore and Vietnam.

Responsibilities

• Turn approved scope and architecture into an executable engineering plan with deliverable increments, estimates, assumptions, dependencies and realistic commitments.
• Track engineering effort and forecast-to-complete, communicating variances early and proposing corrective action.
• Identify scope changes and explain their impact before the team commits to additional work.
• Choose fit-for-purpose build, buy and reuse options within approved standards, balancing delivery speed with security and maintainability.
• Translate architecture decisions into clear engineering work and resolve routine questions, elevating material exceptions with recommendations.
• Allocate engineering work within the assigned team and raise capacity constraints through the Technical Delivery Director.
• Communicate delivery health clearly to project managers, clients and technical leadership: on track, at risk, or needed decisions and deadlines.
• Own engineering quality through code review, testing, secure development and dependency checks.
• Maintain a prioritized technical backlog including defects and technical debt.
• Lead technical incident triage and delivery recovery, addressing root causes rather than firefighting.
• Establish CI/CD, environment and release practices with QA and platform support.
• Ensure production readiness through monitoring, runbooks and clear handover.
• Coach engineers and delegate ownership to avoid single-person bottlenecks.
• Use AI tools, automation and reusable components with proper review and safeguards.
