ES Recruitment Pte Ltd is recruiting a System Engineer – MS SQL Server / Windows Infrastructure for a 1-year project at an airport location. The role requires hands-on MS SQL Server and Windows Server administration within an enterprise IT environment, including AD, security configurations, and 24/7 standby rotation.

You'll join a critical airport IT setup, handling database maintenance, server administration, virtualization, and basic network support.

Qualifications

• Hands-on MS SQL Server administration.

• Strong monitoring, troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Backup, disaster recovery planning.
• Willingness to participate in 24/7 standby rotation.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and optimization of MS SQL databases.
• Administer Windows Server environments and security configurations.
• Manage virtualization and container environments (VMware/Hyper-V, Docker).
• Provide basic network support (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP) and collaborate with network teams.
• Raise change requests and document system procedures.
• Participate in 24/7 standby rotation and incident response.

Seeking System Engineer – MS SQL Server / Windows Infrastructure to join 1 year project renewable assignment at Airport location.

Hands-on MS SQL Server + Windows Server experience required. Join a critical airport IT environment supporting enterprise systems, with exposure to Active Directory, infrastructure operations and 24/7standby rotation.

Mon to Fri Office hrs with 24X7 support standby on rotation

Must Have:

Jobscope:

Database Administration & Maintenance

• Perform routine maintenance, monitoring, and optimization of MS SQL Server databases
• Execute backup and restore procedures to ensure data integrity and business continuity
• Monitor database performance metrics and implement tuning strategies
• Apply patches, updates, and security configurations in accordance with best practices

Windows System Administration

• Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, including user accounts, group policies, and security configurations
• Respond promptly to system-related queries and incidents, ensuring timely resolution
• Perform system patching, updates, and hardening procedures to maintain security compliance
• Monitor system performance and availability, implementing improvements as needed
• Manage system backups and disaster recovery processes

Virtualization & Container Management

• Support virtual machine (VM) environments, including resource allocation and performance optimization
• Perform basic administration and configuration of containerised applications
• Assist in troubleshooting VM and container-related issues
• Maintain documentation of VM and container configurations

Network Support

• Apply basic networking knowledge to support system connectivity and troubleshooting
• Collaborate with network teams to resolve infrastructure-related issues
• Understand and work with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and related network services

Service Management & Documentation

• Raise change and service requests with proper documentation and approvals
• Investigate, resolve, and document system incidents following established procedures
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and best practices
• Track vulnerabilities and assess patches for timely implementation
• Manage and maintain system component assets and configurations

Standby Support

• Participate in rotational standby duty roster to provide after-office-hours support
• Respond promptly to critical incidents and system alerts during standby periods
• Perform fault recovery and troubleshooting activities outside regular business hours when activated
• Provide timely status updates to relevant stakeholders during after-hours incidents
