Job summary

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in supply planning, purchasing, or inventory management.
• ERP proficiency with ERP systems, EPB preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze demand signals and translate into PO recommendations for the supplier network.
• Monitor stock levels and safety stock for ~40,000 SKUs to meet fill-rate targets.
• Collaborate with Sales, Category Management, and Regional Teams (Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, China) to capture demand changes and promotions.
• Create, issue, and track POs with international and domestic suppliers; manage lead times and ETAs.
• Coordinate supplier communications on production status and delays; expedite shipments when needed.
• Support China regional supply chain to resolve issues and ensure export compliance; hand over shipments to Shipping with proper docs.
• Triage PO exceptions, identify root causes of delays, and summarize weekly status reports.

Role Summary

The SupplyPlanner plays a crucial operational role in managing Sia Huat’s high-volumeportfolio of ~40,000 SKUs sourced globally. This role is responsible forend-to-end supply planning, purchase order execution, and supplier follow-upsacross Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and China markets. The planner worksclosely with Sales, Category Management, and local/regional Supply Chain teams (including the team in China) to maintain high product availability whileoptimizing inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities

Supply & Replenishment Planning

• Demand Signal Analysis: Run daily and weekly ERP/MRP reports to translate demand signals, sales forecasts, and inventory targets into accurate purchase order (PO) recommendations.
• SKU Management: Monitor stock levels and safety stock parameters across the ~40,000 SKU catalogue to meet target fill rates while minimizing excess or obsolete stock.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Category Management, and Regional Teams (Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, China) to capture demand changes, promotion spikes, and range updates.

Order Execution & Supplier Management

• PO Lifecycle Management: Create, issue, and track POs with international and domestic suppliers. Obtain order confirmations, manage lead times, and update delivery schedules in the ERP system.
• Supplier Coordination: Regularly follow up with global suppliers on production status, ETAs, and potential delay. Coordinate expedited shipments when needed.
• Handover to Shipping: Ensure suppliers provide complete and accurate pre-shipment documentation (e.g., Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin, MSDS) before seamlessly handing off shipments to the internal Shipping/Freight team for import clearance.
• China Regional Support: Work closely with Sia Huat’s China supply chain team to resolve local supplier issues, ensure export compliance, and streamline factory departures.

Performance & Exception Handling

• Exception Management: Triage PO exceptions, identify root causes for supplier delays, and elevate recurring vendor issues to the Manager.
• Data Integrity & Reporting: Maintain up-to-date PO records, ETAs, and lead times in the ERP. Prepare weekly supply and open-PO status reports for key stakeholders.
• Process Improvement: Assist in identifying bottlenecks to improve PO cycle times, supplier confirmation speed, and documentation accuracy.

Job Requirements

• Education: Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: 2–4 years of hands‑on experience in supply planning, purchasing, or inventory management, ideally handling high‑SKU counts or FMCG/distribution environments.
• ERP Proficiency: Solid working knowledge of ERP systems (EPB) is highly preferred.
