Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management or related discipline.
  • Experience in wholesale, distribution, plasticware, household products, kitchenware, FMCG or general trading is preferred.
  • Strong supplier negotiation and cost-management skills; good analytical and planning abilities.
  • Able to coordinate across sales, purchasing, warehouse, logistics and finance functions.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage and oversee the company's end-to-end supply chain, procurement, inventory, warehousing and distribution activities.
  • Develop supply chain strategies to ensure efficient product flow from suppliers to warehouse and customers.
  • Source, evaluate and manage local and overseas suppliers of plasticware, kitchenware and household products.

  • Review purchase requirements and approve or recommend purchase orders based on sales forecasts and inventory levels.
  • Monitor stock levels and establish reorder quantities and safety stock requirements.
  • Coordinate with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders and logistics providers on shipments.
  • Oversee warehouse operations including receiving, storage, stock movement, picking, packing and dispatch.
  • Prepare regular reports on inventory levels, purchasing, supplier performance, and logistics costs.

Job Summary

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for planning, managing and overseeing the company's end-to-end supply chain operations for plasticware, kitchenware and household products. The position will manage procurement, supplier coordination, inventory planning, warehousing, logistics and distribution to ensure sufficient stock availability, timely deliveries and cost-effective operations. The Supply Chain Manager will work closely with sales, purchasing, warehouse, logistics and finance teams to support the company's wholesale and distribution activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, manage and oversee the company's overall supply chain, procurement, inventory, warehousing and distribution activities.
  • Develop supply chain strategies to ensure efficient product flow from suppliers to the company's warehouse and customers.
  • Source, evaluate and manage local and overseas suppliers of plasticware, kitchenware and household products.
  • Negotiate with suppliers on pricing, minimum order quantities, payment terms, delivery schedules and other commercial terms.
  • Review purchase requirements and approve or recommend purchase orders based on sales forecasts, inventory levels and customer demand.
  • Monitor stock levels and establish appropriate reorder quantities and safety stock requirements.
  • Analyse sales trends and demand forecasts to ensure adequate product availability while minimising excess and slow-moving inventory.
  • Coordinate with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders and logistics providers on shipments and delivery schedules.
  • Monitor import shipments and ensure relevant shipping and trade documentation is properly prepared and maintained.
  • Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, stock movement, picking, packing and dispatch.
  • Ensure inventory records are accurate and conduct regular stock reviews and stock reconciliations.
  • Develop measures to reduce stock discrepancies, product damage, delivery delays and unnecessary logistics costs.
  • Plan and coordinate customer deliveries to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
  • Evaluate the performance of suppliers, freight forwarders, transporters and other supply chain service providers.
  • Negotiate and review logistics and transportation arrangements to improve cost efficiency.
  • Work closely with the Sales Department to understand upcoming promotions, major customer orders and demand requirements.
  • Coordinate with the Finance Department on purchasing budgets, supplier payments and supply chain costs.
  • Monitor supply chain expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements.
  • Manage and supervise purchasing, warehouse and logistics personnel where applicable.
  • Establish and improve supply chain procedures, inventory controls and operational workflows.
  • Prepare regular reports on inventory levels, purchasing, supplier performance, logistics costs and supply chain performance for management.
  • Identify potential supply disruptions and develop contingency plans to minimise their impact on business operations.
  • Ensure supply chain activities comply with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other supply chain and operational duties assigned by senior management.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management or a related discipline.
  • Relevant experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics or inventory management, preferably in wholesale, distribution, plasticware, household products, kitchenware, FMCG or general trading .
  • Experience dealing with local and overseas suppliers will be an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of purchasing, inventory control, warehousing, shipping and distribution processes.
  • Strong supplier negotiation and cost-management skills.
  • Good analytical, planning and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Able to coordinate effectively across sales, purchasing, warehouse, logistics and finance functions.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiar with inventory/ERP systems.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced wholesale and distribution environment.
