Job summary

Nippon Express (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations, manage inventory levels, and ensure efficient storage and retrieval of goods at our Singapore facility.

You will coordinate staff, uphold safety standards, and optimize product flow from receiving to shipping. The role requires leading a team, implementing improvements, and maintaining stringent KPI targets for all warehouse activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse operations and leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and processes.
• Proven ability to supervise teams and meet KPIs.
• Experience with inventory control and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a Section within the Department to achieve customer satisfaction levels.
• Lead improvement projects and drive efficiency initiatives.
• Liaise with customers to resolve operational issues.
• Guide junior staff and new hires to achieve warehouse targets.
• Ensure KPIs for all inbound and outbound activities are met.
• Plan manpower with cost considerations to meet demand.
• Promote safety and maintain workplace well-being.
• Own safety in the Section and disseminate safety information.
• Monitor employee performance and address issues.
• Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Implement process improvements to streamline operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
• Report on warehouse performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Purpose

Describe the core function of the role:

Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, managing inventory levels, ensuring efficient storage and retrieval of goods, coordinating staff, and maintaining safety standards while optimizing the flow of products throughout the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping processes.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Supervise & lead a Section within the Department to achieve organisational goals in fulfilling customer’s satisfaction level.

2. Assume responsibility as leaders for improvement projects.

3. Liaise with customer for resolving operational issues.

4. Provide guidance to junior staff(s)/new hires familiarisation in achieving warehouse operations target.

5. Ensure Key Performance Indexes are met for all incoming and outgoing activities.

6. Planning of manpower, with cost implications in mind, to meet customer’s order demand.

7. Cultivate and promote physical and mental well-being in the workplace.

8. Take charge of safety in the Section and disseminate safety information to the Team.

9. Monitoring employee performance and addressing performance issues.

10. Identifying and resolving inventory discrepancies.

11. Implementing process improvements to streamline operations.

12. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and procedures.

13. Reporting on warehouse performance and identifying areas for improvement.
