Responsibilities

• Oversee daily minimart operations for smooth, efficient functioning.

• Monitor stock levels, expiry dates, damaged goods and discrepancies.
• Coordinate with suppliers on orders, deliveries and replenishment.

• Maintain high standard of customer service and handle inquiries/complaints.

Job Requirements

1. Relevant Working Experience

   • Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience in supermarket, minimart, convenience store or retail operations.

   • Previous experience in a supervisory or retail management position will be an advantage.

   • Familiarity with daily retail operations, inventory management and cashiering procedures.

2. Store Operations Management

   • Able to oversee and manage the daily operations of the minimart to ensure smooth and efficient store operations.

   • Ensure the store is properly organised, clean, well-stocked and maintained at all times.

   • Monitor store opening and closing procedures and ensure compliance with operational standards.

3. Inventory & Stock Management

   • Experienced in stock monitoring, inventory control and replenishment.

   • Monitor product expiry dates, damaged goods and stock discrepancies.

   • Coordinate with suppliers on product orders, deliveries and stock replenishment.

   • Minimise stock wastage, shrinkage and inventory losses.

4. Staff Supervision & Leadership

   • Possess good leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to supervise and lead a team of retail staff.

   • Prepare staff schedules, allocate daily duties and monitor staff attendance and performance.

   • Ensure adequate manpower coverage during operating hours.

5. Customer Service & Sales Management

   • Maintain a high standard of customer service and handle customer enquiries, feedback and complaints professionally.

   • Monitor daily sales performance and identify opportunities to improve store sales.

6. Cashiering & POS Management

   • Familiar with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and daily cashiering operations.

   • Ensure accurate cash handling and daily sales reporting.

   • Monitor cashier transactions and ensure proper cash management procedures are followed.

7. Compliance & Store Safety

   • Ensure compliance with relevant Singapore regulatory requirements and company operating procedures.

   • Maintain proper housekeeping, workplace safety and hygiene standards.

   • Ensure products requiring specific licences or regulatory controls are handled and sold in accordance with applicable regulations.

Preferred Skills & Attributes

• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.

• Good knowledge of retail merchandising and inventory management.

• Proficient in basic computer operations, POS systems and Microsoft Office.

• Able to work independently and handle operational challenges.

• Responsible, proactive, hands-on and detail-oriented.

• Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays when required.
