Job summary

Sunnyhill Ace Pte. Ltd. is seeking a dedicated professional to join the school’s student management team at Tampines Primary School. You will support early intervention for peer conflicts, bullying, and student conduct, collaborating with Form Teachers and Year Heads to foster positive development.

Role focuses on fact-finding, documentation, restorative conversations, parent engagement, and vigilant campus supervision to ensure a safe learning environment for primary students.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Youth Work, Education, or related behavioral discipline.
• At least 2 years of direct experience working with children or youth.
• Strong active listening and communication skills; ability to stay calm, impartial, and non-judgmental.
• Excellent documentation skills to draft clear, concise case notes.

Responsibilities

• Gather objective accounts from students and witnesses to document incidents.
• Conduct interviews and review behavior to create comprehensive case notes.
• Facilitate restorative conversations to resolve conflicts among primary-school students.
• Provide clear updates to parents or guardians with Year Heads and Form Teachers.
• Maintain active supervision during recess, detentions, exams, and student transitions.
• Identify and escalate serious safety concerns to school leadership.

Job Description & Core Responsibilities

We are looking for a dedicated, objective, and empathetic individual to join the school's student management team. The primary goal is to strengthen the school's capacity to handle peer conflicts, reported bullying, and student conduct. Working hand-in-hand with Form Teachers and Year Heads, you will facilitate early intervention and positive student development pipelines.

• Fact-Finding & Inquiry: Gather objective accounts and statements from affected students and witnesses to piece together a clear, unbiased picture of school incidents.
• Case Documentation: Conduct interviews, review behavioral context, and maintain comprehensive case notes to support the Year Head. (Note: This position does not determine disciplinary outcomes).
• Conflict Resolution & Restorative Practice: Under guidance, facilitate restorative conversations and collaborative conflict-resolution dialogues between primary-school students to build positive peer outcomes.
• Parent Engagement: Partner with Year Heads and Form Teachers to provide clear, factual updates to parents or guardians on student management situations.
• Campus Vigilance & Supervision: Maintain an active, visible presence during recesses, detentions, examinations, and student transitions to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment.
• Critical Escalation: Swiftly identify and expand serious indicators regarding student safety, self-harm risks, severe bullying, or suspected abuse to designated school leadership.

Job Requirements

• Educational Background: A Diploma or Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Youth Work, Education, or a closely related behavioral discipline is highly advantageous.
• Proven Experience: At least 2 years of direct experience working with children or youth, ideally within school environments, community social services, or youth organizations.
• Key Skills: Strong active listening and communication skills to connect with primary-school-aged children while maintaining strict professional boundaries. Ability to remain completely calm, impartial, and non-judgmental during high-emotion or conflict-driven situations. Excellent documentation skills to draft clear, concise case notes and regular progression reporting logs.
• Discretion & Ethics: High standard of integrity; capable of managing sensitive family records on a strict need-to-know framework without using personal electronic storage.
