Job summary

CTCI SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. seeks a Structure Engineer to oversee the technical engineering of structural systems for semiconductor FAB facilities. You will ensure safety, quality and compliance with codes, while coordinating with multiple disciplines on site.

Role focuses on design calculations, construction support and documentation, with a contract term of 36 months at Woodlands North, Singapore. Fluency in English is essential; Chinese is a plus.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of relevant experience in structural engineering, construction or semiconductor FAB projects.
• Able to read and interpret structural drawings, construction/shop drawings, specifications and technical documents.
• Familiar with Singapore building and structural requirements, BCA regulations and Eurocodes; SCDF knowledge is a plus.

Job Summary

Serve as a Structure Engineer, responsible for the technical engineering of structural systems for semiconductor Frontend FAB facilities, including structural design, analysis, construction support, multidisciplinary coordination and site technical support. Ensure structural safety, quality and project requirements are achieved in compliance with applicable codes and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Structural Design
   Plan and design FAB reinforced concrete (RC) structures, steel structures, platforms, pipe racks, equipment foundations and supporting structures.
2. Structural Analysis
   Perform structural analysis and calculations for loads, strength, vibration, seismic resistance and other structural requirements.
3. Engineering Documentation
   Prepare and review structural drawings, calculations, specifications and construction/shop drawings.
4. Equipment & Foundation Coordination
   Verify foundation, anchorage, support and structural load requirements for Process and Facility equipment.
5. Multidisciplinary Interface Coordination
   Coordinate structural interfaces with Architecture, Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Piping and Facilities teams.
6. Construction & Site Support
   Manage RFIs, design changes, structural construction issues and technical matters during site execution.
7. Construction Quality
   Monitor the quality of steel structures, RC works, welding, anchors, equipment foundations and related structural works.
8. Code & Regulatory Compliance
   Ensure structural design and construction comply with applicable Singapore building, structural, seismic and safety requirements.
9. Existing Structure & Modification
   Perform structural assessments, strengthening and modification designs for new equipment, FAB expansion and process changes.
10. Technical Coordination
    Coordinate with design teams, contractors, Vendors and Clients, and provide structural engineering judgment and technical solutions.

Requirements

• Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Engineering, Architectural Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in structural engineering, construction or semiconductor FAB projects; FAB or high-tech facility experience is preferred.
• Hands-on experience in RC structures, steel structures, equipment foundations, platforms, pipe racks and structural supports.
• Experience in structural analysis, design calculations and engineering drawing review.
• Able to read and interpret structural drawings, construction/shop drawings, specifications and technical documents.
• Familiar with Singapore building and structural requirements, BCA regulations and Eurocodes; knowledge of SCDF requirements is an advantage.
• Experience in site supervision, contractor coordination, RFI management, design changes and structural quality inspections.
• Experience in structural inspection, rectification and punch list management is preferred.
• Able to work independently on site and coordinate effectively with Clients, contractors, Vendors and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Good command of English; proficiency in Chinese is an advantage.
• Willing to work in a site-based environment, including extended hours or shifts as required by the project.
• Relevant qualifications and licences must comply with applicable Singapore laws, regulations and authority requirements.
