Job summary

CHECC (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. seeks a skilled Civil Engineer to supervise on-site civil and structural works at the Bayfront site office.

You will ensure activities align with drawings, specifications, and method statements while coordinating with consultants, subcontractors, and site teams. With 5–7 years of relevant site experience, you will review structural drawings, provide technical guidance, monitor progress, and maintain documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with field experience preferred.
• B.E. or equivalent with site exposure and safety focus.
• Lifting Engineer Certificate is a plus for on-site lifting operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage day-to-day civil and structural works on-site.
• Ensure activities follow approved drawings, specs and method statements.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors and site teams to resolve technical issues.
• Review and interpret structural drawings and provide technical guidance to on-site personnel.
• Monitor site progress to ensure timely completion.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure quality and safety compliance.
• Check rebar works, formwork, concreting and other structural activities prior to inspections.
• Liaise with consultants and authorities for inspections and approvals.
• Maintain site reports, progress updates and project documentation.
• Assist in resolving site discrepancies and design changes.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Conduct site inspections to ensure quality control and compliance with project standards.
• Check rebar works, formwork, concreting, and other structural activities prior to inspections.
• Liaise with consultants and relevant authorities for site inspections and approvals.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper implementation of safe work procedures.
• Prepare site reports, progress updates, and maintain proper documentation.
• Assist in resolving site discrepancies, technical issues, and design changes.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by superior.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, preferably with a Lifting Engineer Certificate.
• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant site experience in building and infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and structural works.
• Ability to read and interpret construction and structural drawings accurately.
• Familiar with Singapore building codes, standards, and site practices.
• Good coordination and communication skills with multiple stakeholders.
• Hands‑on, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced site environment.
