Job summary

Seatrium (SG) Pte. Ltd. is recruiting a Lead Engineer (Civil/Marine/Naval) to prepare engineering documents for authorities and production teams, coordinate cross-functional activities, and verify design deliverables against specs.

The role involves leading engineers and ensuring safety and quality on marine/offshore projects. The ideal candidate holds a B.Eng in Civil/Marine/Naval Architecture, with 3+ years in marine/offshore, and proficiency in FEA, AutoCAD, and AVEVA Marine/PMDS.

Qualifications

• B.Eng in Civil Engineering/Marine/Naval Architecture or related field.
• Experience in Marine and/or Offshore industry is preferred.
• Willingness to travel and perform site inspections onshore/offshore as required.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Prepare all engineering information required by the certifying authorities and the production departments to execute activities within the required time period.


• Coordinate interdisciplinary and subcontracting activities.


• Review supplier / sub-contractors design deliverables.


• Perform and check engineering design and design calculations.


• Ensure that all design deliverables comply fully with the contract specification.


• Represent the engineering department in technical meetings / discussion with clients.


• Represent the engineering department in the testing of engineering equipment carried out.


• Perform the role of discipline Lead Engineer (DLE) as assigned, and provides technical support


• as required to the engineers reporting to the DLE for the particular project.


• Ensure the safety of personnel through compliance with Occupational Safety and Health and


• Environmental Regulations.


• Ensure that Health, Safety & Environmental operating procedures are followed and counsel employees about compliance as necessary.


• Participate in the preparation of Safe work, Environmental control and Emergency procedures.


• Ensure that all Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality (HSEQ) plans are followed.


• Any other associated tasks and responsibilities assigned from time to time.

Requirements:

• B.Eng (Civil Engineering/ Marine Engineering/ Naval Architecture), other technical disciplines can be


• considered.


• Familiarity with FEA Tools, AutoCad, AVEVA Marine/ PMDS or other 3D modelling software and general office software skills


• Prepared to work long hours when necessary; to work under tight project schedules; to travel necessary and carry out site inspections onshore / offshore as required.


• Minimum 3 years' experience in the Marine and / or Offshore Industry. Fresh graduates without the pre-requisite working experience or relevant knowledge and skills shall be considered for ‘entrylevel’ position.
