Engineering Project Manager – Assist/Support
The role assists/supports the Engineering Project Manager in managing engineering work including deliverables, man‑hour control, schedule control and ensuring engineering activities comply with company quality, system and safety requirements.
Responsibilities
- Understand the contract and scope of work for topsides with subcontractors and prepare key project documentation as per project specifications.
- Manage project related drawings and control technical documentation across disciplines.
- Prepare schedule, pre‑planning and resource forecasting for engineering and technical activities, ensuring all activities stay within the project budget.
- Assist EPM in organizing regular interdisciplinary review meetings, interface checks and weekly reports.
- Participate in project meetings, report on project status and address basic technical queries, including reviewing vendor/subcontractor performance.
- Coordinate with customers, topsides design subcontractors, vendors, consultants and cross‑functional teams to align project plan and resolve technical issues.
- Ensure design reviews are conducted with appropriate attendees, manage action registers, and monitor close‑out of identified actions.
- Support identification of dependencies and obtain stakeholder alignment to safeguard safety and quality while meeting schedule objectives.
- Collect project documentation and maintain databases for submission, retention and lessons‑learned compilation.
- Review and comment on discipline activity and deliverable lists, particularly for topsides design.
- Lead and coordinate between Hull’s Team, discipline lead designers, external design houses and client to define boundaries for modules.
- Control topsides design man‑hours against the budget allocated by the commercial team or discipline Lead Designer.
- Track and follow‑up on pending issues highlighted by Lead Designers, and report to the Engineering Manager.
- Expedite information required by disciplines to begin and complete design work.
- Monitor 3‑D model clash issues across disciplines.
- Prepare weekly reports on design progress, areas of concern, pending items, clash register, interface register, downtime register, resource availability and action plans.
- Lead design review activities, participate in minutes of meeting with external parties, and manage design punch and hold lists weekly.
- Support project close‑out activities including as‑built documentation and engineering close‑out reports.
- Coordinate change management with discipline leads ensuring MOC process compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Attention to detail and time management skills.

Working Hours
Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 5:15pm
Friday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
