Seatrium (SG) Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks a mechanical engineer to design and optimize marine and renewable energy systems, including HV platforms, across vessels and offshore facilities.
You will lead projects from concept to completion, collaborate with electrical, project management and operations teams, and ensure safety and client-spec compliance. Strong CAD skills and data analysis are essential.
Create and optimize designs for mechanical systems used in marine vessels, offshore platforms, and renewable energy installations, including High Voltage AC/DC platforms.
Project Management: Lead and manage engineering projects from concept through to completion, ensuring all milestones are met on time and within budget.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, project managers and operation team, to ensure integrated and sustainable solutions.
Compliance and Safety: Ensure all designs and systems comply with contract specification, industry rules and regulations, and safety protocols.
Documentation: Prepare technical documentation, including equipment technical specification, machinery arrangement drawing, equipment sizing calculation, functional design specification, site acceptance test and marine operating manuals.
Innovation: Stay updated with the latest advancements in marine and renewable energy technologies and incorporate innovative solutions into projects.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the marine, offshore or renewable energy sectors.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD), Navisworks and knowledge of marine and renewable energy systems.
Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and experience with data analysis and interpretation.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
