Job summary

Seatrium (SG) Pte. Ltd. is looking for a candidate to carry out floater design or modifications as instructed. The role involves performing naval architecture activities that ensure designs conform to class rules and technical specifications.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering, possesses at least 2 years of relevant experience, and is proficient with engineering design tools. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team are essential.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of relevant working experience, preferably in marine/offshore industry.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in the engineering field.
  • Well versed with regulatory and class requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out Floater design or modification as instructed by Design Managers or Naval Architects.
  • Perform naval architecture activities such as Scantling calculations and Stability calculations.
  • Ensure designs adhere to Class Rules and Regulatory Framework.
  • Deal with owners and class surveyors to solve design and engineering issues.
  • Provide technical support to Commercial and Engineering Departments.
  • Perform other assigned duties.

Knowledge of functional and operational requirements related to ship design

Overview

Carry out Floater design or modification to the design as instructed by the Design Managers or Senior/Lead Naval Architects, to fulfill project requirements. Perform naval architecture activities such as Scantling calculations, Powering calculations, Stability calculations, Launching arrangement calculations, inclining experiment etc. Ensure designs adhere to Class Rules, Regulatory Framework, Contact Technical Specifications and ISO and document control rules. Deal with owners and class surveyors to solve basic design, engineering and production issues. Provide technical support to Commercial and Engineering Departments for enquiries and ongoing projects. Any other assigned duties and responsibilities.

Working Hours

Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 5:15pm
Friday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
