Job summary

SPH Media is seeking an analytically driven analyst to own subscription revenue and cost reporting. You will work with Finance, Customer Intelligence and Sales & Marketing to deliver timely insights that inform strategic decisions. The role emphasizes Excel modeling, Power Query, and data-driven storytelling for leadership reviews.

You will collaborate across functions to validate data, build dashboards, and automate reporting processes, enabling accurate monthly performance assessments.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Business, Finance, Accountancy, Economics, Data Analytics or a related discipline.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel with advanced formulas and data tools.
• Experience with Power Query; knowledge of Tableau or BI tools is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Effective communication with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly revenue and cost reporting process for the subscription business, including the preparation, consolidation and maintenance of reporting models and datasets.
• Analyse business performance by identifying key trends, variances, risks and opportunities, and provide actionable insights to support decision-making.
• Prepare and support Monthly Business Review (MBR), ELT and other management reporting, including commentaries, dashboards and presentation materials.
• Perform data validation and monthly reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of reporting.
• Collaborate with Finance, Business Units and stakeholders to gather requirements, resolve data issues and improve reporting quality.
• Develop and maintain reporting models using Excel and Power Query, and identify opportunities to automate processes.
• Support ad hoc analyses and strategic projects as required.
