SPH Media Limited in Singapore seeks a Business Analyst to own the monthly revenue and cost reporting for the subscription business. You will manage reporting models, validate data and deliver dashboards for MBR/ELT with clear insights and actionable commentary.
You will work with Finance, Customer Intelligence and Sales & Marketing to automate processes, improve data quality and support strategic projects in a fast-paced environment.
As part of the Business Planning team within the Consumer & Audience Division, you will play a key role in supporting business performance through insightful reporting and analysis. You will own the monthly reporting process for the subscription business and work closely with stakeholders across Finance, Customer Intelligence and Sales & Marketing to deliver timely, accurate and actionable insights that support strategic and operational decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Own the monthly revenue and cost reporting process for the subscription business, including the preparation, consolidation and maintenance of reporting models and datasets.
Analyse business performance by identifying key trends, variances, risks and opportunities, and provide actionable insights to support decision-making.
Prepare and support the Monthly Business Review (MBR), Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and other management reporting, including business commentaries, dashboards and presentation materials.
Perform data validation and monthly reconciliations to ensure the accuracy, completeness and integrity of operational and financial reporting.
Collaborate with Finance, Business Units and other stakeholders to gather business requirements, resolve data issues and continuously improve reporting quality.
Develop and maintain reporting models using Microsoft Excel and Power Query, while identifying opportunities to automate manual processes and improve reporting efficiency.
Support ad hoc business analyses, commercial initiatives and strategic projects as required.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Business, Finance, Accountancy, Economics, Data Analytics or a related discipline.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH and other advanced formulas.
Experience with Power Query is preferred. Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau or other BI tools will be an advantage.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills with keen attention to detail.
Able to communicate insights clearly and work effectively with stakeholders across different functions.
Self-motivated, organised and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
