Job summary

HR Focus in Singapore seeks a diligent Materials Planner/Purchaser to manage planning, purchasing, and inventory control for production needs. The role involves coordinating with suppliers, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring timely deliveries to meet production schedules.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma with at least 3 years of relevant experience and is comfortable working at Tuas with company transport access.

Qualifications

• Min Diploma with 3 years relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform materials planning and purchasing to fulfill sales needs.
• Monitor/review inventory stocking policy to balance supply assurance with minimal holding.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders to suppliers based on stocking policy.
• Ensure accuracy of all orders and follow up with suppliers by telephone/email.
• Liaise, arrange and monitor shipments with forwarder.
• Monitor delivery with local and overseas suppliers.
• Ensure on-time shipments and resolve undelivered goods issues.
• Prepare import/product/checklists for warehouse checks.
• Rectify problems with suppliers (damages, shortages, nonconformance).
• Arrange delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies to meet production schedules.
• Maintain inventories of silencers and common stock parts.
• Generate SAP reports as needed.
• Create item masters in SAP.
• Maintain purchasing files, reports and price lists.
• Plan shipment consolidation to cut shipping costs.
• Coordinate with Accounts for timely payments.
