Job summary

GMP Recruitment Services (S) PTE LTD in Singapore seeks a proactive business development professional to join its strategy team. You will build networks, manage key relationships, and identify opportunities across Singapore, Malaysia and the broader Asian region.

You will develop sales and marketing strategies to win new customers, promote products, and coordinate with suppliers and customers on demands and trends. Mandarin is a plus; travel to regional markets will be required.

Qualifications

• Must possess 3-6 years of experience in electronics/semiconductors, Optical Communication, Optics, or related industries.
• Demonstrated sales record and initiative to acquire new customers.
• Technical and product knowledge of electronic devices/machinery is preferred.
• Knowledge of latest market and business trends imperative for developing strategies.
• Data analytics skills to harness financial data for informed decisions.
• Ability to travel, including overseas travel, is required.

Responsibilities

• Part of strategic planning team focusing on business development while maintaining key customer relationships.
• Develops and manages sales/marketing strategies to acquire new customers in Singapore, Malaysia and Asia.
• Drive business in new and existing markets with strategic planning and visits with suppliers and customers.
• Sales of products through specialized knowledge and understanding of customer needs.
• Perform cost-benefit analysis and assist in budget planning.
• Coordinate with Design Team to provide customized solutions based on customer requirements.
• Make business decisions independently and conduct due diligence on partners.
