Job summary

VRM INTEGRATED SERVICES PTE. LTD. is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects in Singapore.

You will handle cost estimation, tendering, contract administration, and payment claims, coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers. The role requires good knowledge of contracts, cost estimation, and final accounts, along with strong negotiation and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in the construction industry is preferred.
• Good knowledge of construction contracts, cost estimation, tendering, and quantity measurement.
• Familiar with Progress Claims, Variation Orders, and Final Accounts.
• Good analytical, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant QS software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and tender documents for construction projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements to ensure accurate pricing.
• Manage construction contracts and monitor contractual obligations.
• Review quotations, contracts, and commercial terms with contractors and suppliers.
• Prepare and assess progress claims and payment applications.
• Verify completed works and ensure accurate valuation of work done.
• Evaluate and manage Variation Orders (VO) and additional works.
• Monitor project costs and ensure expenditure remains within the approved budget.
• Review subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Negotiate prices and commercial terms where required.
• Maintain good working relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and clients.
• Prepare and negotiate final accounts upon project completion.
• Maintain accurate records of contracts, quotations, claims, variations, and other commercial documents.
