Job summary

GRAND CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects. The role involves cost estimation, tender preparation, contract administration, payment claims, variation orders, and final accounts.

You will coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure effective cost control and accurate valuation of work throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in the construction industry is preferred.
• Good knowledge of construction contracts, cost estimation, tendering, and quantity measurement.
• Familiar with Progress Claims, Variation Orders, and Final Accounts.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant QS software.
• Female candidates are preferred.
• Fluency in English and Chinese is preferred.
• Effective communication with Chinese-speaking clients, contractors, subcontractors and workers is advantageous.
• Singapore construction industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, quantity take-offs and tender documents for construction projects.
• Review drawings, specifications and project requirements for accurate pricing.
• Manage contracts and monitor contractual obligations.
• Review quotations, contracts and commercial terms with contractors and suppliers.
• Prepare and assess progress claims and payment applications.
• Verify completed works and value work done accurately.
• Evaluate and manage Variation Orders and additional works.
• Monitor project costs to keep within budget.
• Review subcontractor and supplier quotations and negotiate terms as needed.
• Prepare and negotiate final accounts and maintain contract documentation.
