Job summary

AMPHENOL FCI Connectors Singapore Pte. Ltd. is seeking a purchasing professional to manage sourcing, procurement, and supplier relations in a fast-paced manufacturing setting in Singapore.

You will develop sourcing strategies, drive cost reductions, and ensure timely supply for production and new programs. You will collaborate with Engineering and other departments, evaluate suppliers, negotiate terms, and monitor KPI performance.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in engineering, business management, supply chain, procurement, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in purchasing, procurement, sourcing, or materials management.
• Experience with ERP systems (QAD preferred).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing and sourcing strategies to achieve cost reduction and procurement objectives.
• Identify and execute cost reduction initiatives in collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Source, evaluate, benchmark, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and terms.
• Manage supplier performance, including delivery, quality, responsiveness, and service levels; drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate RFQ activities, evaluate quotations, and support supplier selection for assigned categories.
• Collaborate with Engineering and other departments to optimize purchased parts and materials.
• Support new product launches by coordinating supplier activities and FA submission timelines.
• Work with Product Development and suppliers to ensure purchasing supports project timelines.
• Manage supplier relationships and address potential supply disruptions to ensure continuity of production.
• Create and release purchase orders after verifying quotations, pricing, and delivery requirements.
• Monitor supplier delivery performance and ensure alignment with production schedules.
• Work with suppliers to reduce lead times and support Lean and continuous improvement.
• Monitor and achieve purchasing KPIs including cost savings and procurement efficiency.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation per company procedures.
• Perform other purchasing and procurement duties as assigned.
