Job summary

Sigma Cable Company (Private) Limited in Singapore is seeking a proactive procurement support specialist responsible for sourcing equipment, spare parts, machine components, and other supplies; you will process requisitions and purchase orders and monitor fulfillment.

The ideal candidate will evaluate suppliers, negotiate prices and terms, maintain records, assist budgeting, and build solid supplier relationships while providing general admin support and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• At least GCE “O” levels with 2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or administrative support
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Meticulous, responsible, and able to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in SAP will be advantageous

Responsibilities

• Source and procure equipment, spare parts, machine components, tools, packaging materials, stationery, and other operational supplies as required by various departments.
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, obtain quotations, and prepare price and specification comparisons for internal stakeholders.
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, favorable terms, and timely delivery while meeting operational requirements.
• Process purchase requisitions and purchase orders, and monitor order status to ensure on-time fulfillment.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and assist in tracking purchasing activities.
• Support the preparation of annual procurement and departmental budgets.
• Build and maintain good working relationships with suppliers and internal departments.
• Provide administrative and procurement support as needed.
• Perform other ad hoc duties and reasonable assignments assigned by management from time to time.
