Job summary

Qualifications

• Implements prescribed sourcing strategies, including price and contract negotiations with suppliers.
• Ensures purchasing targets/KPIs are met as agreed with superiors.
• Analyzes and develops sourcing markets and internal client demand for assigned materials.
• Supports strategic purchasers with regional market knowledge and new developments.
• Reports and monitors purchasing performance.
• Gatekeeper to maintain process requirements; brief internal clients accordingly.
• Works on supplier evaluation and development.
• Advises purchasers in material group/region; acts as contact for purchasing issues within authority.
• Supports SCHOTT Batam new plant from project initiation to ramp-up, including supplier ID, RFQ, PO processing, and ensuring timely materials.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the punctual and accurate processing of contracts and orders under SCHOTT guidelines; review prices, terms, delivery; maintain supplier agreements.
• Acts as single point of contact for suppliers; manages demand/volume/delivery date changes.
• Supports optimization of sourcing processes and systems to increase efficiency across global purchasing.
• Executes purchasing activities in compliance with IMSU/EHS and CSR standards.
