Job summary

You will ensure timely delivery of purchased materials and components by monitoring supplier schedules, following up on outstanding orders, and resolving delivery issues to keep manufacturing running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Experience in supplier expediting and delivery monitoring.
• Ability to coordinate with internal teams across procurement, warehousing and production control.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills to resolve delivery issues.
• Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and supplier performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Review purchase orders to verify part numbers, quantities, delivery dates, and terms.
• Obtain supplier confirmations and update ERP/MRP records.
• Maintain expediting logs for tracking open POs and delivery commitments.
• Monitor supplier delivery performance against schedules and follow up regularly.
• Expedite urgent orders and identify risks of delay; coordinate corrective actions with suppliers.
• Coordinate with internal teams (Production Control, Warehouse, Logistics) regarding scheduling and receiving.
• Liaise with QA to handle non-conforming materials and arrange replacements or concessions.
• Maintain supplier performance database and input for evaluations; propose corrective actions.
