Job summary

Capella Hotels and Resorts in Singapore is seeking an Assistant Director of Procurement to support the Director in strategic and operational procurement management, ensuring cost-effective purchasing aligned with policies.

You will lead day-to-day procurement operations, drive sourcing, supplier and contract management, cost control, and compliance, partnering with Finance and all operational teams to balance quality, price and service across the hotel.

Qualifications

• Minimum degree in relevant field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience leading a procurement team.
• Experience in managing a team.
• Experience in project management.
• Strong commercial and negotiation acumen.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
• Sound knowledge of hotel procurement and contract management.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.
• Leadership and team oversight capability.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee procurement planning & management in line with strategy and annual plan.
• Coordinate day-to-day sourcing and purchasing activities of the Procurement team.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, payment terms and service levels.
• Monitor procurement spend, cost savings and supplier performance.
• Ensure compliance with hotel, Group and company procurement policies and procedures.
• Oversee risk management and internal audits related to procurement.
• Lead stakeholder engagement across Finance and operational departments.
• Coach and develop procurement team members and drive continuous improvement.
