Job summary

Health Sciences Authority (HSA) in Singapore seeks a Senior/Assistant Director, Specialised Investigations, to lead a team of investigation officers against illicit tobacco products and controlled substances, including etomidate, with regulatory oversight and international coordination.

The role focuses on enforcement policy, investigation and case management, operations and intelligence, leadership, and stakeholder collaboration within the Tobacco and Vaporisers Control Act 1993 framework.

Responsibilities

• Oversee complex and long-term investigations into suspected contraventions of legislation and subsidiary regulations administered by the agency.
• Review investigation papers, reports and recommendations for enforcement action.
• Work closely with prosecutorial teams and the Attorney-General’s Chambers on investigation and prosecution matters.
• Support and oversee the prosecution of cases in court, where required.
• Lead, develop and provide strategic and operational direction to a team of investigation officers.
