Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and provide operational directions to a team of Investigation Officers to:
• - Assist departments to conduct investigations for possible contraventions under the various Acts and subsidiary legislation within the ambit of Health Sciences Authority (HSA)
• - Liaise and collaborate with international police organisation (e.g. Interpol) and overseas counterparts in on investigation matters;
• - Prepare investigation papers and put up the relevant submissions;
• - Liaise with HSA's prosecutorial team and/or Attorney General's Chambers on investigation matters;
• - Plan for inspections and enforcement checks, and participating in these enforcement operations;
• - Arrest offenders and accused persons, if necessary;
• - Execute warrant of arrest of offenders who fail to attend court;
• - Assist in identifying areas where illegal activities can occur;
• - Arrange meetings with external agencies to coordinate enforcement activities and provide situational updates;
• - Assist in prosecution of cases in court when required
