Job summary

The Singapore University of Social Sciences seeks an experienced Project Director to lead a major IT infrastructure transformation, delivering scalable, secure enterprise services in support of teaching, learning, research, and administration. You will align projects with business needs, drive consolidation and automation, and enhance governance and lifecycle management across the campus.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT, CS, or engineering.
• Certifications such as PMP, ITIL, TOGAF are advantageous.
• 15+ years of experience in IT with at least 2 years in team leadership and 5 in project management.
• Experience in infrastructure planning, governance, implementation, operations, and service management.
• Strong planning skills to turn roadmaps into actionable plans.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership to develop and motivate teams.
• Solid understanding of IT technologies, architectures, governance, and best practices.
• Knowledge of digital workplaces and smart campus technologies.
• Experience in governance, risk, and delivery oversight.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction to Project Managers and manage stakeholder expectations at Steering Committee meetings.
• Oversee programmes and projects, including change requests, escalations, budgeting, procurement, audits, and vendor management.
• Strategise and plan the technology roadmap and infrastructure improvements for campus needs.
• Coach and develop Project Managers and team members to strengthen competencies and project delivery quality.
