Job summary

Song Consulting Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Sales Manager to drive growth across ocean freight, air freight, warehousing and transportation, and to expand the company’s market share. The role requires 5+ years in freight logistics sales and knowledge of Singapore GST for overseas clients, with a proven track record in growing revenue and market presence.

• Knowledge of Singapore GST rules for overseas clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist the company in increasing its market share across ocean freight, air freight, warehousing and transportation.
• Expand the company’s brand name in the market.
• Explore other areas of business with existing corporate customers.
• Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue goals.
• Make visits to corporate and potential customers.
• Build good relationships with customers to encourage more business.
• Build good relationships with overseas agents/offices and working partners to gain their support.
• Analyse market trends, competitor activity and customer preferences to identify growth opportunities.
• Create sales plans, forecasts and budgets.
• Prepare and send quotations to all customers, including overseas customers.
• Prepare customer contracts when necessary.
• Prepare a sales visit report for every customer visit.
• Provide a weekly sales visit schedule to the General Manager.
• Prepare a monthly sales pipeline and sales forecast for the General Manager.
• Prepare a fortnightly gross profit report and shipment volume report.
• Work closely with the Operations Department to set up customer SOPs and conduct briefings for all other departments involved before the start of shipments, ensuring that customer information and requirements are communicated correctly.
• Share market intelligence with other departments, where applicable.
• Follow up on customers’ outstanding payments when overdue.
• Conduct a yearly customer satisfaction survey by November.
• Investigate customer complaints and feedback and work closely with the relevant departments to provide customers with possible solutions.
• Update the office on any changes to rules and regulations set by the authorities.
• Maintain all claims and submit them to Finance on time.
• Maintain LinkedIn postings.
• Assist with any other matters assigned by the General Manager.
