Job summary

Public Service Division in Singapore is seeking an experienced senior accountant to join the Finance Department. The role focuses on revenue accounting, month-end closing, fixed assets, and management reporting, with emphasis on internal controls and process improvement.

You will lead in preparing periodic returns, liaising with ministries on submissions, and providing sound financial advice. A degree in Accountancy and at least six years of relevant experience are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform finance and accounting functions, including accounting for revenue collection, accounts payable, month and year-end closing, fixed assets, fees and charges costing, bank reconciliations and prepare management reports.
• Review of work processes for system enhancement and internal controls.
• Lead in the preparation, consolidation, and submission of periodic returns.
• Liaise with departments/divisions and ministries/agencies on returns and submissions.
• Provide advice and support on financial matters.
• Prepare audit schedules for statutory and other audits.
• Attend to requests or enquiries from external and internal customers.
