Job summary

THE ROOMAKERS in Singapore seeks a proactive Business Development professional to identify and develop opportunities in construction, renovation and interior fit-out sectors. You will generate leads, meet clients, and coordinate with project teams to tailor proposals and quotes.

Fluent Chinese is mandatory to engage Chinese-speaking clients and partners. You will manage a dynamic pipeline, attend meetings and site visits, and drive revenue by securing and handing over project engagements.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in construction/renovation.
• Experience in finding new clients and following up on business opportunities.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Fluent in spoken and written Chinese is mandatory.
• Willing to attend client meetings and site visits.
• Able to work independently and meet sales targets.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in the construction, renovation, interior fit-out and related industries.
• Generate leads through networking, referrals, online platforms, industry contacts and other business development channels.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, contractors, consultants, designers and business partners.
• Meet clients to understand their project requirements, budgets, timelines and expectations.
• Conduct site visits and coordinate with the internal project team to understand project scope and requirements.
• Prepare and follow up on quotations and proposals with the relevant internal teams.
• Negotiate commercial terms and follow up with clients to convert leads into confirmed projects.
• Monitor the sales pipeline, follow up on prospective projects and provide regular business development updates.
• Research market trends, competitors and potential business opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of clients, leads, quotations and project opportunities.
• Work closely with project and operations teams to ensure a smooth handover of secured projects.
• Support the company in achieving sales and business development targets.
• Perform other business development and sales-related duties as assigned.
