Qualifications

• Education in communications, public relations, journalism, or related field.
• Experience developing and implementing communication strategies and campaigns, preferably in the public sector or related field.
• Experience across earned, owned, and paid media will be an advantage.
• Strong writing, storytelling, and verbal communication skills that can make complex issues accessible and engaging.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to present ideas and influence diverse stakeholders.
• Proactive self-starter with ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
• Strong analytical skills to turn data into insights.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive communication strategies and campaigns for energy initiatives.
• Create compelling content for media releases, pitches, and public channels.
• Build and maintain relationships with media outlets and handle inquiries.
• Analyse data and insights to evaluate communication effectiveness and inform plans.
• Manage issues and crisis communications as part of preparedness measures.
• Coordinate internal communications to keep colleagues informed.
