Job summary

Energy Market Authority (EMA) in Singapore seeks a communications professional to develop and execute public communications strategies that clarify energy issues for the public. You will work with the media and stakeholders to ensure consistent narratives across channels, using data to strengthen messaging.

Responsibilities include campaigns, content creation for releases and pitches, media relations, research, crisis communications, and internal communications.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing and implementing communication strategies and campaigns (public sector preferred).
• Experience across earned, owned, and paid media is an advantage.
• Strong writing, storytelling and verbal communication to make complex issues accessible.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and ability to influence diverse stakeholders.
• Proactive self-starter with ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; experience in communications research or sentiment surveys is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive communication strategies and campaigns; shape narratives to raise awareness and inform the public about energy initiatives.
• Create compelling content for media releases, pitches and other channels.
• Build and maintain relationships with media outlets; manage media inquiries and engagements.
• Gather and analyse data to evaluate effectiveness of communications strategies.
• Manage issues and crisis communications; participate in exercises as part of emergency preparedness.
• Support internal communication to keep colleagues informed of key initiatives.
