Job summary

CW in Singapore is seeking a Communications Manager to lead the PR and corporate communications for the Town Council, aligning strategies with residents, MPs and GRLs. You will chair the Strategic Communications Committee and manage a team of 4 officers, handling queries, events and cross-agency outreach.

You will drive media relations, community engagement, and ensure timely delivery of communications across print and digital channels, including large-scale town events.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mass Communications or equivalent with at least 7 years of relevant experience.
• Excellent organisation, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude and able to work under pressure and tight timelines.
• Leadership qualities.
• Experience as a digital content creator.
• Team player.

Responsibilities

• Secretary of Strategic Communications Committee.
• Develop the PR strategy to maintain relationships and improve channels between Town Councils and residents, MPs and GRLs.
• Lead the Communications Team to provide PR and corporate communication services to the Town Council.
• Lead and motivate a team of 4 officers/executives.
• Manage and engage residents and public queries, feedback and complaints.
• Strategize outreach to residents and the public about estate works and initiatives.
• Manage press queries and print/social media.
• Coordinate community events and provide event management support to property teams.
• Lead Town Council events (1000-2000 participants) and private events (100-200 participants).
• Work with MPs, grassroots organisations and government agencies to enhance image.
• Attend site meetings and community events.
• Liaise with agencies on cross-agency PR projects.
• Attend chit chat sessions and Town Hall meetings as required.
• Meet with senior grassroots leaders and MPs on case-related matters and determine PR approach.
• Any other ad-hoc duties delegated by management.
