Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. Singapore is seeking a Senior SSD Performance Engineer to own end-to-end performance and power maturity for Data Center SSD programs. You will drive execution quality, cross-functional alignment, and data-driven decisions from early bring-up to customer qualification.

The role requires hands-on performance analysis, root-cause debugging, and collaboration across firmware, architecture, systems, QA, and PDT to mitigate risks and ensure targets are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Strong background in SSD performance and power characterization.
• Hands-on experience with data analysis, workload execution, and performance debug.
• Solid understanding of firmware–hardware interactions affecting latency, bandwidth, and power.
• Ability to communicate complex technical findings clearly to internal and external partners.
• Ability to apply AI literacy to use AI-enabled tools for research and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end performance and power readiness for assigned programs, from early firmware maturity through customer qualification.
• Ensure the delivery of high‑quality performance and power data aligned with program goals.
• Drive program status updates for performance to Product Development and other stakeholders.
• Perform in‑depth performance analysis and root‑cause debugging, understanding firmware behaviors and hardware interactions.
• Identify performance risks early and work with FW, Arch, and System teams to drive mitigations.
• Plan and forecast infrastructure and development needs to support program execution.
• Integrate AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness in daily work.
• Collaborate with Firmware, Architecture, Systems, QA, and PDT to deliver optimized performance and power.
