Job summary

1100 Micron SemiAsiaOP Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks an SSD Performance Engineer to own end-to-end performance and power maturity for Data Center SSD programs, driving quality data from bring-up to qualification.

You will analyze firmware behaviors, collaborate across firmware, architecture, and systems teams, and drive mitigations while applying AI-enabled insights for efficiency and quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Strong background in SSD performance and power characterization.
• Hands-on experience with data analysis, workload execution, and performance debug.
• Solid understanding of firmware–hardware interactions affecting latency, bandwidth, and power.
• Ability to communicate complex technical findings clearly to internal and external partners.
• Ability to apply AI literacy to use AI-enabled tools for research and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end performance and power readiness for assigned programs from early firmware maturity through customer qualification.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality performance and power data aligned with program goals.
• Drive program status updates for performance and power to Product Development team and stakeholders.
• Perform in-depth performance analysis and root-cause debug of firmware behaviors and hardware interactions.
• Identify performance risks and drive mitigations with cross-functional teams.
• Represent performance perspective in product change scoping and lead changes on the program.
• Plan and forecast infrastructure and development needs to support execution.
• Apply appropriate performance test levels per program phase and customer requirements.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
