Job summary

Unison Consulting in Singapore seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead enterprise-scale Data Engineering and Banking technology initiatives. You will manage scope, timelines and budgets while coordinating with Data Architects, Engineers and business leaders to define roadmaps and delivery schedules.

You will oversee regulatory compliance, risk management and P&L, guiding cross-functional teams and mentoring junior PMs throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in IT project management, delivering large-scale Data Engineering solutions (Data Warehousing, Big Data, Cloud Data Lakes, Snowflake, Databricks, ETL/ELT).
• Deep domain knowledge in Banking / Financial Services (Core Banking, Risk Management, Regulatory Reporting, Wealth Management, or Payments).
• Expert knowledge of Agile (Scrum/Kanban), SAFe, and traditional Waterfall project management methodologies.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Project Delivery: manage scopes, timelines, budgets, and resources for enterprise-level data and banking initiatives.
• Technical & Strategic Leadership: define roadmaps, architecture strategies, and delivery schedules with data engineers and business leaders.
• Stakeholder Management: act as liaison between executive sponsors, technology partners, and vendors.

Sr. Project Manager (Data Engineering & Banking)

End-to-End Project Delivery: Manage project scopes, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for enterprise-level Data Engineering and Banking technology initiatives.

Technical & Strategic Leadership: Collaborate closely with Data Architects, Data Engineers, and Business Leaders to define project roadmaps, solution architecture strategies, and delivery schedules.

Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between executive business sponsors, technology partners, and third-party vendors.

Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate technical, financial, and operational risks across data initiatives.

Regulatory & Compliance Oversight: Ensure project outputs conform to strict banking regulations, data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, local central bank guidelines), and data governance standards.

Financial Accountability: Own the overall project budget, profit & loss (P&L), financial forecasting, and resource budgeting.

Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead cross-functional Agile/Scrum teams, conduct retrospectives, and mentor junior PMs and PMO team members.

Requirements

Experience: 8+ years in IT project management, with a strong focus on delivering large-scale Data Engineering solutions (e.g., Data Warehousing, Big Data, Cloud Data Lakes, Snowflake, Databricks, ETL/ELT).

Domain Expertise: Deep domain knowledge in Banking / Financial Services (e.g., Core Banking, Risk Management, Regulatory Reporting, Wealth Management, or Payments).

Methodologies: Expert knowledge of Agile (Scrum/Kanban), SAFe, and traditional Waterfall project management methodologies.

Tools: Expert in Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Advanced Excel, and BI tools (Power BI / Tableau).

Certifications (Required/Highly Preferred): PMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe Agilist, or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM).
