Job summary

DXC Technology Services Singapore Pte. Ltd. is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to install, configure, and operate Linux/Windows systems and middleware components including IIS, MS-SQL, Tomcat, JBoss, Kubernetes, Kafka and IBM-MQ in an enterprise IT environment.

You will support the Solution Architect, maintain documentation, monitor applications, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure stable, high-performing enterprise applications and adherence to SLAs.

Qualifications

• Singaporean citizen due to G50 security clearance by client.
• Diploma or degree in IT/CS/CE or equivalent.
• Working experience with Linux and Windows systems.
• Strong implementation and administration skills for Linux and Windows.
• Knowledge of IIS, MS-SQL, and container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience providing on-premises enterprise system support.
• Analytical mindset and initiative to improve productivity.

Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date documentation of system configurations and processes.
• Handle escalations to meet or exceed SLAs.

About the Role

The Infrastructure Engineer plays a key role in installing, configuring, and operating operating systems (Linux, Windows) and middleware products such as IIS, MS-SQL, JBoss, Tomcat, and Kubernetes. This role supports the Solution Architect in implementing proposed solutions and completing project assignments, ensuring enterprise-wide applications run reliably and efficiently.

In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, administration, monitoring, and daily maintenance of enterprise-wide applications, while collaborating closely with software development, network, and infrastructure teams to define requirements, implement solutions, and troubleshoot technical issues. You will also contribute to maintaining up-to-date documentation and ensuring that service levels are consistently met or exceeded.

This position offers the opportunity to work across a broad technology stack, including web, middleware, and database environments, while developing strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in a collaborative, enterprise IT environment.

Essential Job Functions

• Install, configure, and administer enterprise-wide applications such as IIS, MS-SQL, Apache HTTPd, Apache Tomcat, JBoss, WebSphere Application Servers, Kubernetes, Kafka, and IBM-MQ
• Monitor and maintain application and infrastructure environments on a daily basis
• Collaborate with software development and infrastructure teams to define hardware requirements for application solutions
• Coordinate with software, network, and infrastructure administrators to implement solutions and resolve technical issues
• Troubleshoot web, middleware, and database environments to identify and resolve issues
• Identify potential and real performance bottlenecks within web environments
• Apply troubleshooting methods to distinguish between infrastructure and environment-related problems
• Administer web environments to ensure stability and performance
• Maintain and update documentation to reflect current system setup and environment configurations
• Handle escalations seamlessly to avoid gaps in meeting or exceeding SLAs

Basic Qualifications

• Must be a Singaporean citizen due to G50 security clearance requirements by the client
• Diploma/Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
• Working experience in Linux and Windows systems
• Strong implementation and administrative skillsets for Linux and Windows
• Good knowledge of IIS, MS-SQL, and open source solutions like Docker containers and Kubernetes container orchestration
• Prior experience providing enterprise-wide on-premises systems support
• Possess an analytical mindset
• Demonstrated initiative to improve productivity and efficiency
