Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc is seeking a Splunk Solutions Engineer to serve as the primary advisor for Splunk offerings alongside our sales team, customers, and partners. You will demonstrate Splunk products on-site and via webinars, translating customer needs into targeted solutions.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, deliver compelling presentations, and lead PoCs/VoCs to quantify value. Strong technical leadership and independent work are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficient presales/technical sales experience in a software vendor environment.
• Validated results in technical software vendor sales.
• Skilled in performing discovery to understand customer goals and challenges, and demonstrating how Splunk's solutions can address them.
• Proficient experience responding to all elements of RFIs/RFPs, including positioning Splunk against competition.
• Exceptional teammate, responsible for the technology evaluation stage of the sales cycle.
• Proficiency in Splunk's overall offerings, able to provide hands-on demonstrations and technical leadership.
• Ability to work independently to identify all technical issues of your assigned accounts and mitigate issues and risks.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and promote Splunk products and services to customers on-site and remotely.
• Act as a Splunk technology expert and provide product feedback to cross-functional teams.
• Synthesize discovery insights to tailor Splunk solutions to customer needs.
• Develop and deliver presentations mapping customer journeys to Splunk's use case roadmap.
• Build relationships as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales process.
• Lead or participate in PoCs/VoCs from setup to final presentation.
