Qualifications

• Requires recognized degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited college/university.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to work well with children and young adults with intellectual disability is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• AHPC practising certificate is required; supervision support is provided for entry-level candidates.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional inputs about clients’ speech, language and communication difficulties to teachers, parents/caregivers and staff.
• Participate in collaborative problem-solving to assist with goals, intervention design and recommendations.
• Provide screening, identification, assessment, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up services for speech and language disorders.
• Measure outcomes, maintain records and file assessment reports.
• Implement intervention programs and contribute to discharge planning and staff training.
