About The Role
The role is responsible for the coordination of important processes related to sales initiatives to support our Tied Distribution channel. The key area of responsibility is the budget (strategic plan and tracking) and the support to the MDRT Task Force.
Strat Plan, Budget and Expense Management
- Strat Plan: perform analysis on the target product mix and key metrics to support the budget submission and discussions with CEO, CFO, and CDO.
- Expense allocation: monitor expenses for agency against budget and liaise with each business owner (Events team, Agency distribution, etc.) to ensure yearly spend is within their budget.
- Strategic planning budget: prepare the expense budget (GOE + variable costs) for the yearly strategic planning for Agency.
- Monthly accruals: coordinate with all the agency business owners and finance to submit the necessary monthly accruals for Agency.
Analysis and Projects
- Perform ad‑hoc analysis on the performance of Tied Distribution based on business needs: manpower, key metrics, sales challenge performance, etc.
- Support other teams within Tied Distribution to drive strategic initiatives.
Project Support (MDRT Task Force)
- Design specific sales challenges to drive our number of MDRT qualifiers: model of the challenge, proposal, communication material, payment of the reward.
- Payment support: payment of the membership to MDRT organization and claw back from the agents.
Reporting and Management of Appeals
- Production Clubs and Top Awards: regular updates through upload of tracking reports to the online platform.
- President Club: prepare report, recommend final qualifier list, and communicate.
- Manage the appeal framework & process in relation to Production Clubs and Convention: create MS Form, set appeal parameters, provide recommendation to HOD, manage each case with the Head of Agencies, coordinate with TD Operations to include approved appeals in final report.
Operational / Administrative Support
- Sponsorship & Membership for professional organizations: coordinate with representative, pay sponsorship and memberships, claw back membership costs from the agents.
- Coordinator for ALMA EXCO and ALMA Sub‑comm meetings: set the meeting, prepare the meeting deck and material, prepare the minutes, follow up on action items.
- Operationally support some processes related to sales initiatives: agents’ professional insurance, taxation opt‑out for rewards, group medical, etc.
Minimum Job Requirements
Education & Experience: A Bachelor’s degree; at least 3 to 5 years of experience in Life Insurance preferably in Agency channel management.
Specific Skills (Knowledge, Skills and Competencies)
- Knowledge of life insurance industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Proficient communication skills to effectively explain policies with Tied Distribution force and internal stakeholders.
- Self‑learner and hands‑on to troubleshoot and problem‑solve challenges.
- Excellent interpersonal and people‑management skills.
