Job summary

The Government Technology Agency (GovTech) in Singapore is hiring a Software Engineer to help transform government digital services. You will build features spanning multiple components, make trade-offs between speed, quality and maintainability, and own evolving systems with end-to-end ownership.

You will work with cloud services (AWS), React/React Native, and data/infrastructure stacks, contributing to scalable, high-quality software delivered within public-sector constraints.

Qualifications

• Must have strong proficiency in Python, JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code setups.
• Strong knowledge of AWS Cloud and scalable APIs.
• Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures.
• Ability to deliver high-quality software and own features end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Build POCs and features spanning multiple components.
• Contribute to system architecture and design decisions with mentorship.
• Write and review production-quality code and expand test coverage.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and manage cloud deployments.
• Own observability: logging, metrics, SLIs/SLOs and incident resolution.
• Review AI-assisted code and maintain quality bar.
