Job summary

Illumina Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a Manufacturing Equipment Engineer to lead maintenance on high‑volume consumables equipment in a GMP setting. You will train Technicians and Engineer I staff while mentoring the team to improve reliability and uptime.

You will perform preventive maintenance across electrical, mechanical, optical and fluidic systems, lead improvement initiatives, and ensure safety and quality are upheld. 12-hour shift flexibility may apply.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a relevant engineering field.
2+ years (Bachelor) or 8+ years (Diploma) in manufacturing environment.
Experience in GMP controlled manufacturing environment.
PLC/SCADA knowledge and troubleshooting.
Strong emphasis on cGMP compliance, safety and quality.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance on electrical, mechanical, optical and fluidics systems.
Train and mentor Technicians and Engineer I team members.
Lead and participate in improvement initiatives and 6S activities.
Identify critical spare parts in SAP and manage stock levels.
Ensure production targets and KPIs are met with safe practices.
