Job summary

Illumina is seeking a Manufacturing Equipment Engineer 2 to lead preventive maintenance in a high-volume consumables production setting. The role includes supervising Technicians, delivering training, and driving continuous improvement to enhance uptime and reliability.

The candidate will work on electrical, mechanical, and chemical systems, follow cGMP and safety instructions, and ensure proper documentation and housekeeping.

Qualifications

Experience in GMP controlled manufacturing environments.
Ability to write procedures and train others.
Proficient with PLC troubleshooting and automation systems.
Strong documentation and inter-department communication.
capable of shift work and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

Lead preventive maintenance on optical, mechanical, electrical and fluidics systems.
Deliver training to Technicians and Engineer 1 team members.
Supervise and mentor team to meet KPIs and targets.
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Coordinate to meet daily production schedules and safety standards.
