Job summary

Illumina Singapore Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Manufacturing Equipment Engineer to provide technical leadership for sustaining smart manufacturing equipment in a high-volume consumables production environment.

You will define preventive maintenance across optical, mechanical, electrical and fluidics systems to boost uptime and reliability. You will train and mentor Technicians and Engineer I, supervise the team, ensure compliance with cGMP and safety, and drive continuous improvement including 6S;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or Mechatronics or related field.
• 2+ years for Bachelor’s degree or 8+ years for Diploma holders in manufacturing/production environment.
• Experience in GMP controlled manufacturing.
• Advanced understanding of Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Pneumatic.
• Experience in PLC and automation troubleshooting and HMI control systems.
• Experience in engineering drawings and safe, compliant operations.

Responsibilities

• Complete required training (e.g. cGMP, safety and work instructions).
• Execute tasks following cGMP, Quality, Safety and Work instructions.
• Ensure safety, quality, and company policies are followed.
• Maintain 6S housekeeping and clean working areas.
• Report concerns promptly and meet daily production KPIs.
• Lead and mentor shift teams to achieve KPI targets and continuous improvement.
• Perform preventive maintenance on complex smart manufacturing equipment.
• Identify critical spare parts in SAP and manage safety stock.
• Lead improvement initiatives and coach teams in continuous improvement (6S).
• Automate manual processes with automation experts to improve quality, cycle time, and cost.
