Site Supervisor (Semiconductor Projects)

Position Summary

Kun Lun Global Pte Ltd is seeking a motivated and hands‑on Site Supervisor to lead equipment foundation and installation activities for semiconductor cleanrooms and other high‑tech industrial projects.

The Site Supervisor will be responsible for the day‑to‑day execution of installation works on site, including supervising installation teams, controlling workmanship, monitoring progress and ensuring all works are carried out safely and in accordance with approved drawings and project requirements.

This is a hands‑on site role. The successful candidate is expected to lead by example, work closely with the installation team and actively participate in installation activities when required.

The Site Supervisor will work closely with the Project Manager and Project Coordinator to ensure that site constraints, technical issues and installation requirements are identified early and resolved without unnecessary disruption to project progress.

Key Responsibilities

Site Installation & Supervision

• Lead and supervise daily equipment foundation and installation activities at project sites.

• Plan and assign daily work activities to installers based on project priorities and installation schedules.

• Provide clear work instructions and ensure the installation team understands the required installation method and sequence.

• Perform hands‑on installation work alongside the installation team when required.

• Supervise the positioning, alignment, levelling, assembly and installation of equipment foundations and related components.

• Ensure installations are carried out according to approved engineering drawings, specifications and installation requirements.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, layout plans, installation drawings and technical details.

• Verify dimensions, orientation, reference points and installation locations before commencement of work.

• Conduct pre‑installation and completion checks before requesting inspection by the client or project team.

• Identify workmanship or installation issues and ensure corrective actions are completed promptly.

• Maintain good housekeeping and proper organisation of tools, materials and work areas.

Team Leadership & Manpower Management

• Lead by example through active participation and strong site discipline.

• Supervise installers and ensure manpower is deployed effectively according to daily work priorities.

• Plan daily manpower deployment and installation sequences.

• Monitor individual and team productivity to ensure project targets are achieved.

• Train and mentor new installers through structured on‑the‑job training.

• Develop team members to become competent and independent installers.

• Ensure installers understand the correct use of tools, equipment and installation methods.

• Maintain discipline, teamwork and professional conduct among the installation team.

• Motivate the team while maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety and productivity.

• Report manpower, performance or disciplinary concerns to the Project Manager where necessary.

Progress & Work Execution

• Monitor daily installation progress against the planned schedule and project milestones.

• Coordinate daily work priorities with the Project Manager and Project Coordinator.

• Identify potential delays or installation difficulties at an early stage.

• Immediately report site obstructions, access restrictions, drawing discrepancies, conflicting works or other conditions that may affect installation progress.

• Work with the Project Coordinator and Project Manager to implement agreed solutions.

• Ensure materials, tools and equipment required for upcoming installation activities are identified in advance.

• Minimise downtime by planning work sequences and preparing the team for upcoming activities.

• Support recovery plans where installation progress falls behind schedule.

Safety & Cleanroom Compliance

• Ensure strict compliance with applicable Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) regulations.

• Enforce company, main contractor and client safety requirements at all times.

• Conduct daily Toolbox Meetings (TBM) and safety briefings before commencement of work.

• Ensure Permit‑to‑Work and other required approvals are obtained before work commences.

• Ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with cleanroom gowning requirements.

• Inspect work areas and identify hazards before installation activities commence.

• Ensure appropriate control measures are implemented and followed.

• Immediately stop and rectify unsafe acts or unsafe conditions.

• Ensure tools and equipment are used safely and correctly.

• Ensure lifting, shifting and material handling activities are conducted safely.

• Maintain good housekeeping and ensure access routes and work areas remain safe.

• Promote a strong safety‑first culture within the installation team.

Quality Control

• Ensure all installation works meet approved drawings, specifications and quality requirements.

• Check foundation positioning, orientation, dimensions, alignment and levelling during installation.

• Ensure measuring equipment and tools are used correctly.

• Conduct internal inspections before requesting client inspection.

• Identify defects, deviations or workmanship issues and ensure rectification is completed promptly.

• Prevent rework by ensuring installation requirements are understood before work commences.

• Maintain installation quality standards throughout all stages of the project.

• Support final inspections, punch‑list rectification and project handover.

Client & Project Coordination

• Work closely with the Project Manager and Project Coordinator on daily site requirements.

• Coordinate installation activities with clients, engineers, main contractors and other subcontractors where required.

• Communicate site constraints and installation requirements clearly to the Project Coordinator or Project Manager.

• Attend site coordination, safety and progress meetings when required.

• Provide accurate updates on installation progress, manpower and outstanding works.

• Assist in coordinating material deliveries, equipment movement and work area access.

• Maintain professional working relationships with clients and other project stakeholders.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare and submit daily work progress reports.

• Record daily manpower deployment and completed installation activities.

• Maintain photographic records of work progress where required.

• Record installation measurements, inspection results and completed works.

• Report site issues, delays, defects and outstanding activities promptly.

• Assist the Project Manager and Project Coordinator with installation planning and schedule updates.

• Maintain installation, inspection and quality records.

• Support project handover documentation and client inspections.

Job Requirements

Experience

• Fresh graduates with a strong mechanical aptitude, positive attitude and willingness to perform hands‑on installation work are encouraged to apply. Comprehensive training will be provided.

• Experience in construction, mechanical installation, equipment installation, machinery installation or industrial projects is advantageous but not essential.

• Supervisory or team leadership experience is advantageous.

• Experience in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, data centre, manufacturing or cleanroom environments is highly advantageous.

• Candidates with practical mechanical or installation experience who are ready to progress into a supervisory role are encouraged to apply.

Technical Skills

Candidates should possess or be willing to develop practical competency in:

• Operating hand tools and power tools.

• Mechanical assembly and installation works.

• Equipment positioning, alignment and levelling.

• Reading and understanding engineering drawings.

• Using measuring and levelling equipment.

• Basic setting‑out and reference point verification.

Physical & Site Requirements

Applicants must be physically fit and willing to perform hands‑on installation work.

The role requires the ability to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods.

• Work in cleanroom environments while wearing full PPE.

• Supervise Construction Work for WSH (BCSS) certification is an advantage.

• Manage Work at Height certification is an advantage.

• Relevant lifting, rigging or other WSH‑related certifications are advantageous.

• Experience working in semiconductor fabrication plants or cleanroom environments is preferred.
